What is Job Hopper

Job Hopper meaning and definition

The practice of holding several jobs in a short period of time is referred to as "job-hopping." Generally speaking, it's described as employment lasting fewer than two years. In today's workplace, frequent job changes once regarded as a red flag on resumes have become more typical. People change jobs for a variety of reasons, such as job dissatisfaction, health problems, or a desire to change careers. However, Job-hoppers rarely work at a position for more than one to two years on the average. Some move to another position with a better career path because they are dissatisfied with the direction that a certain employment takes them in the future. And some just want more challenging tasks because they become bored easily. Once they have mastered a task, they find it difficult to envisage staying in that role for several more years (or even months), so they transition to something new to keep themselves interested or challenged.
