We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facilities. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.
A Child Care Teacher typically performs the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:
Planning and implementing structured activities: They develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to support children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. This includes activities like reading, arts and crafts, music, games, and outdoor play.
Supervising and engaging with children: They closely monitor children to ensure their safety, manage behavior, and create a positive learning environment. They actively engage with children, providing guidance and support as needed.
Creating a daily routine: They establish and maintain a consistent daily schedule that includes time for play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods. This helps children develop a sense of structure and routine.
Assisting with personal care: They help children with tasks like toileting, feeding, dressing, and handwashing. They also encourage children to practice good personal hygiene habits, such as brushing teeth and washing hands.
Conducting observations and assessments: They observe children's behavior and interactions to assess their developmental progress. They may record observations in order to plan and individualize their teaching strategies.
