We are looking for a liable Bank Teller to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the “frontline” of our bank and will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of transactions daily, communicate with different types of clients and sell bank’s products/services.
A bank teller performs various tasks on a day-to-day basis, including:
Assisting customers: The main responsibility of a bank teller is to serve customers by conducting a variety of financial transactions. This includes cashing checks, depositing and withdrawing money, and processing loan payments.
Handling cash: Tellers are responsible for accurately counting and handling cash transactions. They should ensure that the correct amount of money is given to customers and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
Providing information: Teller may assist customers in answering general inquiries about bank products, services, and policies. They may also provide guidance on account openings, credit card applications, and other services.
Processing transactions: Teller enters and processes various transactions into the bank's computer systems. This includes updating account information, processing wire transfers, and issuing cashier's checks or money orders.
Promoting bank products: Teller may recommend and promote bank products such as savings accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), and credit cards to customers based on their needs and financial goals.
Resolving issues: If customers encounter any problems or discrepancies concerning their accounts, tellers are responsible for addressing and resolving these issues as efficiently as possible.
